Planning Commission to hold public hearing on Planning Division Work Plan

Deschutes County residents are invited to share feedback on the Community Development Department’s work plan for fiscal year 2026-2027. The Deschutes County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the Planning Division Work Plan (pages 26-35) at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9. The meeting will be held online and in person at the Deschutes Services Building, 1300 NW Wall St., Bend.

Household hazard waste collection events coming to Redmond, Sisters and La Pine in April

Spring is a good time to clean out the garage and get rid of household hazardous waste. However, these items must be disposed of safely. Knott landfill takes household hazardous waste on Fridays and Saturdays every week, but rural transfer stations aren’t currently equipped to accept it.
