A Hubbard, Oregon man was cited for careless driving when his vehicle slid out of control on icy roads, triggering a four-car collision and blocking all four lanes of Highway 126 west of Prineville Wednesday evening, police said. Salem Police have released video of an armed robbery that took place Jan. 5 at the Plaid Pantry in northeast Salem, in hopes that someone will recognize the robber whom they believe held up two convenience stores within hours of each other.  In both cases, the suspect matched the same description and was carrying a rifle. Late last year, a federal judge ordered the U.S. Treasury Department to redesign the nation's paper currency to accommodate the blind. A redesign makes perfect sense, but the government doesn't see it that way.
