On Jan. 12, 2006 at approximately 5:07 am deputies from the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office stopped a snowmobile on South Century Drive near Homestead Way in Lapine.  The driver of the snowmobile had a suspended license and the snowmobile was impounded by the Sheriff's Office.  It was towed by Marcum's Towing to the Marcum's Towing Facility. Finley Butte Area East of Lapine, Oregon On 1/20/06 at approximately 11:30 am Craig Marcum, 40, of Lapine was located.  Marcum had heard from acquaintances that the Sheriff's Office was looking for him as a missing person.  Marcum made telephone contact with a patrol deputy and agreed to meet at the Lapine station in person.  Marcum personally talked with detectives and a patrol deputy at the station.
