Two Bend men were arrested Thursday afternoon for suspected sales of cocaine and methadone, a prescription drug, according to a news release by the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) Team. Fire officials credited quick-acting gas station attendants with preventing a potentially disastrous situation from becoming even worse Thursday when they used an emergency gas shut off and attempted to douse the flames of a burning motorhome with fire extinguishers. Two 13-year-old boys were arrested for ten counts each of second-degree criminal mischief after they allegedly caused $2,300 in damage to several fences, vehicles, sidewalks, and signs in northeast Redmond on Wednesday.
