A truck transporting large load of bees overturned Sunday afternoon at the junction of Highways 97 and 197, spilling the load onto the road and closing down all lanes of traffic on highway 197. Ted Thonstad, Superintendent of the Sisters Schools District, today announced his intention to leave the district at the end of the current academic year.  He informed the school board of his decision during a previously scheduled executive session meeting of the board.  Mr. Thonstad joined the district in August of 2004, and intends to remain in his position through the term of his current contract, which extends through June 30, 2007.  He will have served ...
