A 50-year old Boring, Oregon man is presumed dead after jumping 145 feet from the Bridge of the Gods to the Columbia River below on Sunday afternoon. SALEM – The Oregon House of Representatives today passed a resolution urging Congress to fully restore timber payments to Oregon counties. HJM 100 passed the House 57-0. State Rep. WASHINGTON - U.S. agents arrested a Defense Department official and two others Monday on charges of spying for China.The three are accused of passing "sensitive U.S. government information, including classified national information" mainly related to U.S. military sales to Taiwan.Gregg William Bergersen, a weapons systems policy analyst at the Defense Security Cooperation Agency in Arlington, Va., was charged with being the source of the classified information. PHOENIX - Scientology leaders fired back Monday at protesters who picketed a church in Phoenix over the weekend. A 37-year old Prineville man was arrested Friday evening in connection with an alleged sexual assault at the Walton Lake Sno-park in the Ochoco National Forest in Crook County, Oregon, deputies reported. SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk, Va., firefighters kept busy over the weekend, combating a series of wildfires brought on by gusting winds.Although Virginia Gov. Timothy M. A 20-year-old Bend man died from injuries he sustained in a crash Thursday afternoon in northwest Washington when his car hit a tree on Mt. Baker Highway, police reported. Kyle J.
