A 15-year-old bicyclist struck and killed by a TriMet bus in Beaverton, Oregon Monday afternoon has been identified as Austin Miller, a student of the Arts and Communication High School.
The Traffic Division of the Beaverton Police Department is continuing the investigation into the fatal crash involving a TriMet bus that occurred about 4:40 p.m., February 11, at the intersection of SW Murray Boulevard and SW Farmington Road.

A 41-year old Albany woman was killed and her husband injured Monday evening when he lost control of his motorcycle on Highway 20 in Benton County and crashed, police reported.

LA PORTE, Ind. - The reputed remains of the notorious Indiana serial killer Belle Gunness have been sent to a lab for DNA testing to make sure she didn't fake her own death.Gunness was thought to have died in a house fire in La Porte, Ind., in 1908;. MIDDLEBURY, Conn. - An overturned truck loaded with compressed hydrogen gas kept part of Route 88 in Middlebury, Conn., closed for much of Tuesday while the cargo was offloaded.

WASHINGTON - Two U.S. congressmen from Illinois have introduced a bill calling for new Social Security cards with security features to help combat fraud and identity theft.U.S. Reps. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., and Peter Roskam, R-Ill., introduced a bill Tuesday that calls for issuing Social Security cards with photographs, fingerprints, bar codes and other security features, the Chicago Tribune said.

Washington County Sheriff’s deputies are asking the public’s help in locating a 12-year-old Tigard, Oregon boy who went missing Monday afternoon when he didn’t return home from school. Deputies have yet to determine whether the child, who has no history of trouble at home and has never run away, rode the school bus back to his neighborhood.
