DENVER - The only person under sentence of death in Colorado has filed a new appeal with a federal judge.Nathan Dunlap, 33, was convicted in 1996 of shooting five employees at a Chuck E. Cheese's in Aurora, killing four of them. Dunlap had been fired from the restaurant and returned to rob it.

Fifteen children on board a Bend-La Pine school bus hit by an SUV Wednesday afternoon were unharmed, but the bus driver may have suffered an injury to her hand, deputies reported.

Oregon's ability to respond to a public health emergency has dramatically improved since 2001, when federal funds for that purpose began to flow to states across the nation, according to a national report released Wednesday. ARCH CAPE, Ore. -- Oregon Parks and Recreation Department staff removed a pair of historic cannons from the beach near Arch Cape on February 19.
