The United Church of Christ is celebrating a landmark decision by the Federal Communications Commission, which has ruled in favor of the church's filed complaint that Univision, the nation's largest Hispanic television network, is not serving the educational programming needs of children. The Nasdaq Stock Market Thursday officially delisted struggling San Diego-based defense contractor JMAR Technologies. The company, which develops laser-based technology for the U.S. government and for commercial applications, was suspended from the market in December because its share price had slipped below the minimum threshold of $1 a share and below the $2.5 million shareholders' equity requirement. The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) has scheduled a public information meeting to discuss its proposed gypsy moth eradication project for this spring in a residential area of Bend. ODA representatives and health officials will be on hand to answer questions and concerns from the public.
