Two Umatilla County men were arrested this morning for poaching an antelope off Vey Road south of Echo, Oregon following a tip from a concerned citizen, authorities reported.
About 8:25 a.m. this morning, Oregon State Police (OSP) dispatch received a tip from a citizen who had found an antelope, shot and killed off Vey Road, troopers said. A Depoe Bay man received minor injuries and was cited by Oregon State Police (OSP) to appear on multiple charges including felony drunk driving following a single vehicle crash Sunday afternoon along Highway 18 west of Grand Ronde. SAN DIEGO - The Coast Guard escorted a Mexican fishing boat to its headquarters near Shelter Island on Monday and detained the crew for allegedly poaching in U.S. waters off San Diego.
Such a seizure off the California coast is so rare that Coast Guard officials and federal fisheries agents couldn't remember the last time it occurred.
