BEND, Ore. -- A Deschutes County Sheriff’s Deputy who was responding to the Sun Mountain Estates subdivision west of Bend Tuesday afternoon to a report of three possibly aggressive dogs at large was forced to shoot one of the animals as it attacked him. Police are looking for witnesses to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 30 near Cornelius Pass Road that took the life of one driver from Scappoose, Oregon, but left the other 59-year old driver from La Pine uninjured on Tuesday evening.
