A 39-year old Bend man -- a convicted felon -- was arrested late Wednesday night after he allegedly violated a restraining order, menaced his wife with a firearm, and made statements threatening to harm himself and others with a gun, police reported.

PRINEVILLE, Ore. -- Prineville Police are looking for two men who allegedly attacked a 45-year old woman and took her money before fleeing in a car Wednesday evening.
The victim, a La Pine resident, told police two Hispanic men assaulted her and stole her money about 8:30 p.m., March 5, near N. 10th and Main Streets in Prineville, Chief Eric Bush said.

NEW YORK - No one claimed responsibility for a blast outside of a Times Square armed forces recruiting facility, New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said Thursday.

TACOMA, Wash. - A federal court jury convicted Briana Waters Wednesday on two counts of arson in a 2001 fire at a University of Washington horticulture lab.Waters was among of group of environmentalists from the Earth Liberation Front who torched the Center for Urban Horticulture on the Seattle campus in the mistaken belief that it was being used for experiments on genetically modifying trees, a report said.

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. - The sons of Drew Peterson, a former Illinois police officer and a suspect in his wife's disappearance, again avoided having to appear before the grand jury. Peterson is a suspect in the Oct. 28 disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson.
