Over 100,000 pounds of frozen hamburger patties and ground beef sold in Oregon, Arizona, California, Idaho and Washington have been recalled for possible E. coli contamination, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Friday. A woman and three children were sent to the hospital Friday afternoon following a head-on crash between a passenger van and a commercial truck carrying propane tanks on Highway 26 just east of Sandy, Oregon, authorities said. A 40-year old Redmond man fatally shot himself at a campsite in Tumalo State Park Friday night, authorities said.  Oregon State Police (OSP) and local emergency personnel responded to the scene off OB Riley Road north of Bend in response to a 911 call made by witnesses to the incident about 11:30 p.m., April 20.
