SAN DIEGO - Wireless technology giant Qualcomm is planning to launch a mobile network that would allow people to use their cell phones to manage myriad health issues including diabetes and dieting.
Called LifeComm, the service would offer cell phones that could double as glucose meters to monitor blood sugar levels in diabetics, track aerobic activity in dieters or otherwise function as a medical device.

NORFOLK, Va. - A U.S. Navy lawyer convicted of divulging information about Guantanamo Bay detainees was sentenced to six months in prison Friday.
The Virginian-Pilot reported that in addition to his prison sentence, Lt. Cmdr. Matthew M. Diaz also was informed he would be dismissed from the Navy as part of his punishment for the intelligence leak.

MINOT, N.D. - A man in Minot, N.D., has been banned from the Turtle Mountain Reservation by a Chippewa tribal council for his online article against the reservation system.
Based on the outrage that Rob Port's online blog raised among the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, the tribe's council leaders voted this month to officially ban him from the tribe's reservation, the Minot Daily News said Friday.
