A 17-year-old boy who had been banned from being on school grounds since late 2006 for assaulting the vice principal was arrested Wednesday afternoon at Aloha High School for carrying a loaded and concealed handgun inside the school, deputies reported. OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Officials in Kansas on Thursday charged a man with kidnapping and killing of 18-year-old Kelsey Smith, who disappeared from a shopping center parking lot. WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is requesting safety warnings for diabetes drugs Avandia and Actos after they came under congressional scrutiny. WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Senate early Thursday changed an immigration bill so that its proposed guest-worker program expires after five years.
