A Bend man was arraigned Wednesday, July 19 for stabbing a woman in the abdomen at the First Lutheran Church in downtown Bend. Floyd Allan Hughes, 45, was charged with robbery in the first degree, unlawful use of a weapon, assault in the second degree, burglary in the first degree and menacing, according to Beth Bagley with the Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office. “We requested a $200,000 bond,” Bagley said. “He is still currently in ... The Deschutes County Road Department has announced that on Wednesday, July 26 stop signs will be installed on Hamby Road at its intersection with Neff Road in Bend, Oregon. The addition of the stop signs will result in the intersection becoming a 4-way stop. BEND•Deschutes National Forest visitors should avoid the popular Green Lakes Trail in the Three Sisters Wilderness Area July 24-28, while crews erect a new bridge over Fall Creek.
