A 20-year old Wilsonville man has been arrested for the alleged rape, sodomy, and sexual abuse of two teenage girls he befriended on MySpace.com, deputies reported yesterday.
Clackamas County Sheriff’s deputies said that Kyle James Green is believed to have specifically targeted underage girls on the internet, in public libraries, and through introductions from acquaintances.

Oregon Human Trafficking Task Force Refers Information Regarding Minor Victim Involved in Production of Child Pornography
PORTLAND, Ore. – Charles Ross, Jr., 25, was sentenced to 180 months imprisonment following his guilty plea to one count of Production of Child Pornography. U.S. District Court Judge Garr M. Oregon Attorney General Hardy Myers on Friday announced the conviction of Carrie Ann Bowers on four counts of first-degree theft. Bowers was convicted in Lane County Circuit Court after a year-long investigation of diversion of prescription medications from three different Eugene long term care facilities where she had worked as a registered nurse.

A contract construction worker was killed Sunday night from injuries suffered when he was pinned between a backhoe's stabilizer landing gear and the rear bucket while working in a highway construction project on Interstate 205 just north of Interstate 5. The driver of a motorhome was transported by air ambulance with critical injuries, and four others were taken to the hospital by ambulance after the driver ran a red light, crashed into two vehicles, then ran into a Pizza Pit and another parked car, police reported.

Fire investigators are still working to determine the cause of a small brush fire that burned ¼ acre in Tumalo State Park in north Bend on Sunday.
Bend Fire & Rescue dispatched one water tender and two wildland companies, who were able to quickly extinguish the blaze. No structures within the popular campground were threatened.
“Remember we have very dry conditions at this time,” Captain Scott Wyman said. “Use extreme caution when outdoors.”
