Redmond Police have arrested two men, one a Redmond resident and the other of Prineville, in connection with the rape and strangulation of a 19 year old Redmond woman. According to Detective Lt. Wayne Shortreed, on Sunday July 23rd shortly after 10 pm officers responded to a report of a possible rape by two known suspects.

Redmond Police Officers have arrested two Redmond teen-agers in connection with the stabbing of an 18 year old man which occurred last week.
According to Detective Sgt. Phil Paschke of the Redmond Police Department, officers were called to St. Charles Medical Center-Redmond shortly before midnight on Wednesday July 19th to interview Shane Sherman. Sherman, an 18 year old Redmond resident, sustained injuries not sufficiently serious to require admittance to the hospital following an altercation with ... Mothers of twins, triplets or more from around the northwest will converge on Bend, Oregon Sept. 29-30 for the Northwest Association of Mothers of Twins Clubs' fall meeting. The event is open to all mothers of multiples.
"Fun in the High Desert Sun," this September's event, is one of two annual gatherings for NWAMOTC members to support, learn and grow from other mothers of multiples' experiences.

Restrictions on firewood cutting and other industrial activities will soon increase on Central Oregon federal lands because of increasing fire danger.
Today, at 12:01 a.m. on July 24, the Ochoco and Deschutes National Forests, Crooked River National Grassland and Prineville District of the Bureau of Land Management moved move to an Industrial Fire Precaution Level-III.

A body was found Sunday afternoon when the Sheriff’s Office, LaPine Fire Department, and USFS fire crews went to investigate a report of smoke west of Dawn Road and the Deschutes National Forest boundary.
About 3:24 pm responders discovered a small passenger vehicle fully engulfed in flames, and it appeared that the vehicle had crashed head on into a tree, according to Lt. Deron McMaster.
