The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office has asked the public’s assistance to locate a convicted sex offender who absconded from Deschutes County Parole & Probation supervision on July 4th. David K. Hunter is considered to be very dangerous and residents are urged to call 911 if they see this predatory male, especially in the near vicinity of any male or female minors age 1 – 17. On Monday, July 3rd, the city of Bend Oregon began accepting debit and credit cards as payment for City building and planning fees.  The City will accept MasterCard and Visa credit cards, as well as debit cards bearing the MasterCard or Visa logo. A 17-year-old girl with a church group remained missing on late Saturday following a river rafting accident in the Deschutes River about 20 miles south of Maupin, Oregon.
