A 59-year old Redmond man was cited for reckless driving in connection with a three-vehicle crash on Highway 97 just north of Redmond on Friday morning that blocked traffic for about an hour. Three people were transported to the hospital with what deputies reported were non life-threatening injuries.

A 20-year old man who tired and sank under the surface of the Molalla River as he tried to swim across was rescued by a family member and two Good Samaritans who pulled him to shore and began live-saving efforts, deputies reported.

ENID, Okla. -- Two Oklahoma pre-teen sisters are accused of kidnapping a 1-year-old neighbor and demanding $200,000 in ransom for his return.
