July 28 Reports: Jason Lee Edwards, 35, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Loren Joe Jackson, 31, was arrested for an alleged domestic disturbance/violence that occurred in the presence of 3 children. Acting on a tip, Deschutes County Sheriff’s detectives found the ATM machine stolen from the Thriftway Market in Terrebonne early Monday morning.  The machine, located on public land in Jefferson County about ten miles from the market, was burned and all the cash had been removed.  The burglary suspect captured on surveillance footage remains at large.  According to a news release issued by Lt. BAGHDAD -- Suicide car bombers struck a Kirkuk vegetable market and a convoy of Kurdish militia Friday in Iraq, killing at least 13. Four members of the Peshmerga, the Kurdish military force, died and 14 were wounded when a suicide car bomber struck their convoy near Mosul, KUNA, the Kuwaiti news agency, reported. WASHINGTON -- A U.S. Justice Department study has found that nearly half of the country's murder victims each year are African American. The Bureau of Justice Statistics analyzed FBI homicide reports and the National Crime Victimization Survey to conclude that blacks are disproportionately victimized by violent crime, The Washington Post reported Friday. KENNER, La. -- Police in Kenner, La., have identified the graffiti artist killed by a police car on the West Return Canal levee as a 16-year-old boy from the West Bank. Kenner police released the details of the death Thursday night but withheld the youth's name until his relatives have been notified, the New Orleans Times Picayune reported. TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. -- After an alligator killed a golden retriever in Temple Terrace, Fla., the town has declared war against the scaly reptiles. WARSAW, Poland -- Polish President Lech Kaczynski has expressed his regret over recent vandalism of a Jewish cemetery in Czestochowa, some 190 miles southwest of Warsaw.
