Authorities have positively identified the remains of a body found in a burning vehicle at the scene of a single-car crash July 23rd west of Dawn Road and the Deschutes National Forest boundary.  According to a news release from the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, forensic investigation via dental records has determined that the victim is Deborah A. The Lake George fire grew by about 600 acres to an estimated 1,600 acres Sunday, pushing deeper into the Mt. Washington Wilderness.  According to a news release from the Central Oregon Interagency Dispatch Center, the lightning-caused fire that began August 7 approximately 13 miles west of Sisters in the Mt.
