Three of eleven individuals in a Bend home where Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) Team members executed a search warrant Thursday afternoon were arrested on various charges, and charges are pending for a fourth.  Stolen property and evidence of the manufacture of methamphetamine were found and seized, according to authorities. A double-wide manufactured home was completely destroyed by fire late Thursday night, but the occupants were awakened by the hissing of a medical oxygen tube near the bed and were able to escape safely, officials said. A small fire that caused only $50 in damage to the Bend Shilo Inn Wednesday was caused by the spontaneous combustion of grease and oily rags, said Battalion Chief Bill Boos of the Bend Fire Department. More than a dozen fire personnel responded to the motel at 3105 O.B. Oregon public health officials have joined those in at least eight other states in investigating an outbreak of E. coli O157, a foodborne illness that has been identified in at least five people across Oregon.
