Bend Athletic Club hosts Soup Fest 2007
by Bend Weekly News Sources

(Bend, Oregon) The Bend Athletic Club will be the site of Soup Fest '07, a benefit for Winning Over Anger & Violence. The Soup Fest will feature a competition for professional chefs with a total prize purse of $3,000. Guests will receive ballots and vote for their favorite recipe.

The music stylings of the Cascade Brass quintet will entertain guests as they enjoy soup, side dishes, desserts and a no-host bar. Raffle tickets for prizes and gifts will come from a select number of local businesses.

The Bend Athletic Club is excited to be the host of this first-time event. "We support Winning and its work," says Rick Adamo, director of food and beverage at the Athletic Club. "It helps make our community a safer place to work and live."

The Soup Fest will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2007, at the Bend Athletic Club, 61615 Athletic Club Drive. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door. For more information, call 541-330-8888.
