PRINEVILLE, Ore. – A teenage driver who looked away from the road for a moment, rolled her car and crashed on Highway 26 east of Ochoco Reservoir in Crook County, Oregon, on Saturday was treated at the hospital for minor injuries, deputies reported.
According to a Crook County Sheriff’s Office news release prepared by Sgt. Travis Jurgens and Deputy Ryan Seaney, the unnamed driver from John Day crashed her 1993 Nissan Sentra about 8:15 p.m., May 18, near milepost 38 on Highway 26.
The driver was traveling west when her car left the road and overturned, Jurgens said. She was transported by a passerby to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Prineville, where she was treated for minor injuries and released.
“No citations were issued,” the sergeant said.
