According to an Oregon State Police (OSP) news release, Jon Joshua Guthrie, 32, of Milwaukie, and passenger Amanda Elaine McGee, 20, of Sandy, were arrested and charged with possession, manufacture and distribution of marijuana; and possession of meth. Both were cited for possessing an open container of an alcoholic beverage, and Guthrie was also cited for driving with a suspended license.
OSP Trooper Zach Mickle stopped the 1991 Toyota 4-Runner driven by Guthrie about 5:45 p.m., March 13, on the south end of Redmond on Highway 97. “The occupants were in possession of a pipe with methamphetamine residue,” police stated in the news release, and a further search led to the marijuana, meth, weighing scales, packaging material, glass pipes and a large grow light.
Guthrie and McGee were transported and lodged in the Deschutes County Jail in Bend with bail set at $40,000 each, troopers said.
