MADRAS, Ore. – A lengthy investigation led to the arrest Friday afternoon of three men -- two suspected of selling drugs in the Bend and Madras areas, and one for possession – after police stopped their vehicle and found over 18 grams of methamphetamine and dozens of morphine pills, police reported.

According to Deschutes County Sheriff's Sgt. Rob Emerson, Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) team members assisted by Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers stopped a vehicle driven by the main suspect, 38-year old Madras resident Donald Randy Scott about 4 p.m., April 17. Scott was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee and was pulled over on the Culver Highway near Fairgrounds Road in Madras.

Two other men, 22-year old Jarrod Marcus Allen and Danny Michael Easterling, 40, both of Madras, were passengers in Scott's vehicle. Further investigation revealed that Allen was allegedly helping Scott sell meth, and detectives observed what they believe to be multiple drug sales, Sgt. Emerson said.

A search of the vehicle turned up more than 18 grams of meth and 89 morphine pills, digital weight scales and drug paraphernalia.

All three men were taken into custody and lodged at the Jefferson County Jail, the news release stated.

"Additional charges may follow," Emerson said.

All three suspects face charges of possession of illegal drugs. In addition, Scott and Allen are charged with delivery and manufacture, Allen had an outstanding felony warrant for absconding on probation, and Easterling is also being held on a probation violation.
