A car struck two Crook County teenagers in a crosswalk in front the high school in Prineville Wednesday evening, sending both to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police reported.
Prineville Police officers responded to the intersection of SE Lynn Boulevard and Knowledge Street about 6 p.m. February 7, Chief Eric Bush said. The teens, a girl and boy both 15-years-old, were crossing the street in the marked crosswalk in front of Crook County High School when they were struck.

The car, a 1990 Acura Integra driven by 24-year old Miguel Angel Villa of Prineville, was traveling westbound on SE Lynn Boulevard. The driver and his adult passenger were unhurt, the chief said.
The victims were transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital where they were treated for injuries, and the boy was later taken by ambulance to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend.
As of Wednesday night, Chief Bush said no action had been taken against the driver, adding that an investigation by Prineville Police and Oregon State Police is continuing.
