Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) team members received credible information over the course of the past several months that Kenneth Wayne Zitek was once again allegedly involved in drug sales from 2812 SW Pumice Avenue in Redmond, said Deschutes County Sheriff’s Detective Sgt. Scott Shelton.
The sergeant credits concerned citizens in the community for their help, saying CODE received valuable information that was “of great assistance” to the investigation.
Detectives watched the home and monitored the suspect’s activities in and around the Bend-Redmond area and obtained sufficient data to obtain a search warrant for Zitek’s residence.
About 7:45 p.m. on February 22, CODE detectives and Redmond Police officers executed the search warrant at the Pumice Avenue address, Shelton said. They seized about one-half ounce of crystal meth, in addition to cocaine, marijuana, narcotics paraphernalia, packaging supplies, and weight scales, the sergeant reported.
Zitek was taken into custody and lodged in the Deschutes County Jail.He is charged with possession, delivery, and manufacture of methamphetamine.
