Detectives with the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) team received credible information that a trailer in space # 7 of Aspen Court at 528 NW 17th Street was a residence where methamphetamine and cocaine were allegedly being sold, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Detective Sgt. Scott Shelton reported.
Agents set up a surveillance program on the trailer, and using information gleaned from that and other investigative methods, obtained a search warrant which was executed about 3 p.m. March 14.
A small amount of crystal meth, packaging materials, a 9 mm handgun, and about $24,937 in cash was seized during the search, said Sgt. Shelton.
Detectives declined to release any information regarding suspects or arrests due to the ongoing investigation.
The CODE Team is a multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force comprised of detectives from all Central Oregon law enforcement agencies including Bend, Redmond, and Prineville Police Departments; Deschutes, Crook, and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Offices; Oregon State Police; United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA); Deschutes County District Attorney; and the Oregon National Guard.
