A 23-year-old Madras man with the street name ‘Monster’ was arrested on various drug-related charges following a raid on his home Tuesday, drug agents reported.

According to a news release issued by Bend Police Lt. John Gautney, Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) team members had been investigating Juan Miguel Lopez for about a month.

Agents executed a search warrant at 318 SW ‘G’ Street in Madras about 7:45 a.m., July 24, and seized almost 34 grams of methamphetamine, 10 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, a small amount of marijuana, other items commonly associated with the manufacture and sales of meth, and $1,800 cash.

Lopez was present during the search and was taken into custody, Gautney said.  Four other adults, two small children and an infant were also present.

Lopez was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $93,000 bond.  He is charged with two counts of delivery of meth, conspiracy to commit delivery of meth, two counts each of manufacture and possession of meth, possession of psilocybin mushrooms, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.

Assisting CODE team members were officers with the Madras Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies and Oregon State Police troopers.
