Shortly after 7 p.m. on November 6, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Deputy Crawford stopped a vehicle for a light violation in the northeast Bend area near the intersection of NE Third Street and NE Marshall Avenue, Sgt. Gary Cima reported in a news release.

While the deputy was speaking with the driver, Allen Gail Green, 35, and passenger, 27-year old Melissa Lynn Martin, his canine partner “Narc” exhibited behavior indicating the presence of a controlled substance coming from the vehicle, Cima said.

A search of the vehicle turned up the marijuana and pipe, the sergeant reported.

Green and Allen were placed into custody and lodged in the Deschutes County Jail pending arraignment. Both are charged with manufacture, delivery, and possession of marijuana in addition to possession of methamphetamine.  Bail for each is set at $45,000, Sgt. Cima said.
