Ski For Schools puts you on the slopes opening day for $15
by Bend Weekly News Sources

The crisp winter air and snowfall on Mt. Bachelor can mean just one thing - the annual Ski for Schools day is just around the corner! The lack of snow pack has delayed the opening of Mt. Bachelor until November 21st, so the Ski for Schools date has been changed to opening day.

This is great news for students who will be on Thanksgiving break and can take part in a fun day at the mountain that also benefits their schools for the bargain price of a $15 lift ticket.

If you would like to be among the first to get on the slopes of Mt. Bachelor, ski for just $15, and benefit Redmond and Bend, La Pine and Sunriver schools at the same time – mark your calendar for Wednesday, November 21st.

The Education Foundations for Bend-La Pine Schools and Redmond School District are in partnership with Mt. Bachelor for the third annual Ski for Schools day. Skiers and snowboarders eagerly awaiting their first run down the slopes of Mt. Bachelor can be there by purchasing a Ski for Schools ticket. Tickets will allow you to make first tracks on the opening day of this popular ski and snowboard destination. Tickets are also good for cross-county skiing and tubing.

All Ski for Schools ticket sales revenue will be donated back to the foundations. Last year, the event raised more than $24,000 for the foundations.

Tickets are on sale through Tuesday, November 20th and must be purchased at the following retail locations (tickets can not be purchased at Mt. Bachelor):

  • 4 Seasons Recreational Outfitters - Sunriver

  • Joes - Bend

  • Bend-La Pine School Education Center

  • Mid Oregon Credit Union – Bend, Redmond & Prineville

  • Powder House - Bend

  • Redmond School District Office

  • Side Effect Board Shop - Bend

  • Skjersaa's - Bend
