Capell Garners Broad Support for Bend City Council
by Bend Weekly News Sources

The Deschutes County Chapter of the Oregon League of Conservation Voters (OLCV) endorsed Mark Capell this week for Bend City Council.  The OLCV has been working for 34 years to elect candidates on the local level who will protect our natural resources and plan wisely for urban growth.

”Mark Capell will be a great addition to the Bend City Council.  I’m sure he’ll work hard to protect our natural environment and plan great communities where we all want to live,” said John Nangle, board member for the Deschutes County Chapter of OLCV.

In addition to this endorsement, Capell has also been endorsed and is being supported by the Bend Business PAC, the Central Oregon Realtors Association and the Central Oregon Builders Association.

”I believe my strong support comes from my willingness to listen to all citizens and find the unique solutions that they help to offer,” said Capell.  “I am very proud to be the candidate for the Bend City Council that can bring everyone together.”

Capell, 46, a fourth-generation Bend resident, is running for the seat being vacated by Councilor Dave Malkin.  He is the owner of CMIT Solutions of Central Oregon, and is a member of the Greater Bend Rotary Club, is chairman of the Bend Community Action Team, serves on the Editorial Board of Cascade Publications, and is a former Bend Chamber of Commerce ambassador.
