The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office has announced that two snowmobiles belonging to Roger and Brian Rouse have been found, and searchers are following foot tracks in the area hoping to locate the missing men. Searchers located the two snowmobiles about 1 p.m. Tuesday, said Deschutes County deputies.
Roger and Brian Rouse, father and son, ages 53 and 29, failed to return from a ride in the Mt. Bachelor area west of Bend on Sunday, November 26.
Search teams are currently following two pairs of foot tracks leading from the area where the snowmobiles were located. Additional search teams are being sent to the opposite end of the drainage where the tracks were found to see if the Roger and Brian Rouse can be located.
Information on the location where the snowmobiles were found is being withheld at this time to ensure that no other riders go to the area, thereby possibly covering or contaminating any clues in the area, said deputies.
