A Street Crimes Unit, comprised of members from the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and the Redmond Police Department, arrested Raul Biveros Castillo, 32, about 8:30 p.m. December 8 at the intersection of Antler Avenue and Sixth Street in Redmond, said Sgt. Michael Espinoza.  At the time of his arrest, he was allegedly found with a large quantity of methamphetamine, and a large amount of cash.

According to the news release, when deputies later searched his residence at 2007 SW Timber Avenue, Apartment #7 in Redmond, they found several firearms and suspected stolen property.

The suspect was allegedly involved in the sales, possession, and manufacturing of large quantities of meth in Redmond over the last several months, and detectives are actively seeking other crimes associated with Castillo.

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and City of Redmond Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit is a joint effort between the two agencies.  The focus of the Street Crimes Unit is quality of life crimes with an emphasis on investigating street level sales of methamphetamine.
