Dec 15,2006 Two Arrested in Bend Furniture Store Burglary by Richard Burton
A raid on a Bend mobile home Wednesday evening turned up items stolen a week earlier from a local furniture store as well as evidence of drug possession, and ultimately led to the arrest of two Bend men.
On December 6, Bend Police Officers responded to Benjamin’s Furniture at 61220 S. Highway 97 on a report that several items were stolen during the night, said Sgt. Paul Kansky.
A week later, officers received more information and developed leads related to the burglary, prompting the issuance of a search warrant for a mobile home occupied by Todd Anthony Stackhouse, 39, and Jesse David Lopez, 42.
The raid took place at 61292 Parrell Road, Space # 43 in southeast Bend about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday.Members of the Central Oregon Emergency Response Team, Bend Police detectives and officers, and Central Oregon Drug Enforcement team members participated in execution of the search warrant, Kansky said.
Items stolen from Benjamin’s Furniture and evidence of possession of a controlled substance was located and seized at the residence, and both Stackhouse and Lopez were taken into custody and lodged at the Deschutes County Jail.
Each man will face charges of second-degree burglary and possession of a controlled substance.Stackhouse also has a warrant for parole violation, and Lopez has a probation violation warrant.
