A search of the vehicle turned up meth and cocaine hidden in a secret compartment – CODE photo

led to the arrest Tuesday of two men in connection with the alleged sales of methamphetamine and cocaine, detectives reported.

According to a news release prepared by Sgt. Rob Emerson, on March 17 at 8 p.m. Deschutes County Sheriff’s deputies were assisted in the traffic stop of a speeding vehicle on Highway 97 in Terrebonne by Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) team members. During the stop, Redmond Police narcotics K-9 dog “Tanya” alerted on the vehicle, and found meth and cocaine hidden in a secret compartment.

The two occupants of the vehicle -- 22-year old Madras resident Oswaldo Cibrian and Cristobal Corrales Reyes, 27, of Bend -- were arrested on scene and transported to the Deschutes County Jail, the sergeant said.

Detectives continued their investigation into the early morning hours Wednesday when CODE detectives raided the home of Cibrian in Madras where they found more drugs, the release stated. In total, 10.6 ounces of meth and 4.2 ounces of cocaine were seized.

Cibrian was charged with possession, delivery and manufacture of both cocaine and methamphetamine in addition to conspiracy to deliver meth. Corrales Reyes will face a single charge of conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine, Sgt. Emerson said.

The CODE team is a multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force supported by the following Central Oregon law enforcement agencies:  Bend, Redmond, Prineville and Madras Police Departments; Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Offices; Oregon State Police; U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA); Deschutes County District Attorney; and the Oregon National Guard.
