A 23-year old Bend man has bee arrested for allegedly driving drunk when he struck and injured a pedestrian on Third Street in Bend late last night, police reported. This is the second hit-and-run on Third Street in Bend in two days.

Shortly before midnight April 18, Bend Police officers assisted by a Deschutes County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of a car vs. vehicle collision at NE Third Street and NE Greenwood Avenue and found David Sloan Overcash, a 44-year old Bend resident, had been hit by a motor vehicle. Sloan was transported to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend where he was reportedly in fair condition this morning.
Officers located the suspect vehicle, and questioned the driver, Joseph Michael Tracy, 23.Tracy was taken into custody and lodged in the Deschutes County Jail, charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, felony hit-and-run, and second-degree assault.
On Monday, 41-year old Kimberly Ann Potter was struck and killed while riding her bicycle, which led to the arrest of a Southern California father and son.
Christopher George Goodson, 22, of El Cajon and his father, 51-year old George Harold Goodson of San Diego were taken into custody Wednesday.The son is accused of driving the vehicle that struck Potter, and the father is charged with hindering prosecution and attempted theft for conspiring to collect an auto insurance settlement when suspects torched the vehicle involved.
