Bend Memorial Clinic Signs 6-year Outsourcing Agreement
by Bend Weekly News Sources

Bend Memorial Clinic has signed a six-year outsourcing agreement with MED3000, Inc. Under the arrangement, MED3OOO, a national healthcare management and technology company, will provide the clinic with practice management information systems as an Application Service Provider (ASP), and will also provide the clinic with revenue cycle management services.

Responsible for the treatment of more than 200,000 patients annually, the Bend Memorial Clinic conducted extensive research for an ASP and Revenue Cycle Management provider. The physicians and administrators selected MED3OOO as a partner who is focused on the improvement of operational, financial and clinical performance. As part of the agreement, Bend Memorial will have access to MED3OOO IQ, the company's proprietary data warehousing and reporting technology.

"We are looking to gain efficiencies and cost-effectiveness in our operations and we are confident we will benefit from MED3OOO's industry knowledge and experience in ASP services and Revenue Cycle Management," commented Marvin J. Lein, CEO of the Bend Memorial Clinic. "We were very impressed with MED3OOO's data warehouse reporting capabilities to improve operational processes and better identify patients who need preventive care. This will help us more effectively manage the health outcomes of our community."

"We are extremely pleased to be chosen to work with Bend Memorial Clinic," said Patrick Hampson, MED3OOO's Chairman and CEO. "Their 85 physicians and their executive management team in Oregon have an excellent reputation in the community and an exciting vision of the future of healthcare that we share. This engagement continues our growth in the physician practice and physician network service area, especially with larger groups. Our goal as a company is to help our clients differentiate themselves and excel in the increasingly competitive healthcare marketplace. MED3OOO can provide the technologies, services and information to make this happen."
