A 42-year-old Bend man lost his balance while riding in the open bed of a pickup truck, fell out of the truck, and was killed when he was run over by the truck’s tire.
The incident occurred Saturday afternoon about 1:15 p.m. August 12 near Parrell Road and Rae Road in southeast Bend
According to Lt. Ken Stenkamp of the Bend Police Department, officers received a report of an injured man but when they arrived they found that Mathew W. Nilsson was deceased.
No criminal charges are anticipated against the driver of the 2002 Chevrolet extended-cab pickup, identified as 30-year-old Bend resident Benjamin White.
