Search Warrant Reveals Evidence of Theft, Drugs, Explosive Devices
by Richard Burton

Three of eleven individuals in a Bend home where Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) Team members executed a search warrant Thursday afternoon were arrested on various charges, and charges are pending for a fourth.  Stolen property and evidence of the manufacture of methamphetamine were found and seized, according to authorities.

The investigation began in late August when Kinder Alline Killian, a 31 year-old Bend resident was found to be in possession of over one-half ounce of methamphetamine near NW 61st Street.  CODE Detectives conducted surveillance and further interviews indicating that Killian was involved in the sales and manufacturing of meth in Deschutes County, and based on that information obtained a search warrant for her residence.

According to Lt. Jim Porter, the warrant was executed at 61310 Parrell Road #20 shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday, September 14, and eleven individuals were found in Killian’s residence.

“Wanted person” checks of all individuals present revealed that that 29-year old Thomas Michael Linville, one of those present, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest alleging he had violated of the terms of his State prison parole release.  Linville was arrested and lodged at the Deschutes County Jail for parole violation.

Also present was Jason Glen Simcox, 28, of Medford, who gave detectives six different false names and birthdates before he was identified by the examination of tattoos and scars.  Simcox was arrested for four outstanding warrants for his arrest, all issued out of the Medford, Oregon area.

Robert Anthony Vorce, 41, of Bend, was present and found to be in possession of approximately 60 pounds of stolen copper electrical wire.  Through interviews, detectives established that Vorce allegedly stole the wire earlier in the day from a manufactured home at 600 Reed Market Road, and was preparing the wire for resale.  Vorce was arrested for second-degree theft and criminal trespassing.

During the search CODE team members found weight scales, chemicals, packaging materials, trace amounts of methamphetamine, sales records in connection with meth sales, and three improvised explosive devices.  The explosive devices were turned over to the Oregon State Police Bomb technicians to be analyzed.

All evidence concerning Killian’s activities will be forwarded to the Deschutes County District Attorney for review for future charges.  The investigation into the improvised explosive devices is continuing.
