Bend Police are investigation a reported near-drowning at the Juniper Swim & Fitness Center on Tuesday afternoon when a boy about three-years-old was pulled unresponsive from the swimming pool, officials said.

Few details were available in a news release prepared by Lt. Ken Mannix, but Bend Police and Bend Fire & Rescue personnel responded to the facility owned and operated by Bend Park & Recreation Metro District at 800 NE 6^th Street about 3:45 p.m.  When they arrived, lifeguards on scene had already began CPR, and the child was reportedly breathing before he was transported to St. Charles Medical Center for treatment.
