Man describes cooking girlfriend's ear
TYLER, Texas -- A Texas man allegedly described killing his girlfriend and cooking her ear before summoning his mother to see what he'd done, police said.
Police found a human ear boiling in a pan, and on a plate, uncooked flesh with a fork in it, the Dallas Morning News said.
"Either he was going to eat it, had been eating it, or that's what he wanted it to look like," Smith County Sheriff J.B. Smith told the paper. "I'm not shocked anymore -- surprised that people can do such horrible things to each other -- but not shocked. I've seen it all. This isn't the worst we've had.
"But it is my first cannibalism."
The suspect, Christopher Lee McCuin, 24, of Tyler, Texas, called 911 Saturday allegedly to describe killing his girlfriend, Jana Shearer, 21, of Whitehouse, Texas, the paper said.
