MIAMI - Rudy Giuliani reportedly will effectively end his presidential bid and jump on the John McCain bandwagon after finishing third in Tuesday's Florida primary.
NBC News said a campaign official confirmed the announcement would come Wednesday at a scheduled campaign appearance at the Reagan Presidential Library outside Los Angeles.
Giuliani himself declined to say Tuesday night whether or not he was ending his campaign.
The former New York mayor lagged in the Florida Republican primary Tuesday, which was won by McCain. Mitt Romney placed second.
NBC said Giuliani had counted on a strong showing in the Sunshine State to propel him into the big Super Tuesday contests.
