Arson suspects' arraignments postponed
by UPI

WORCESTER, Mass. - Arraignments for two Massachusetts men accused of burning the famous Mary Had a Little Lamb House in Sterling were postponed Tuesday, it was reported.

The men's arraignments in Worcester Superior Court were rescheduled for Feb. 19 after one suspect was unable to appear in court Tuesday, the Worcester (Mass.) Telegram & Gazette News reported.

The Sterling house is the birthplace of Mary Elizabeth Sawyer, who reportedly is the girl mentioned in the 1830 Sarah Hale poem "Mary Had a Little Lamb."

John Rousseau and Michael Dreslinski, both 28 of Clinton, face two counts of burning a building and two counts of conspiracy to commit arson in connection with the August burnings of the Sterling home and a barn in Holden.

Since August, the men have been detained without bail on charges stemming from a fire in Erving in July, the newspaper said.
