ALBUQUERQUE - The vote counting in the New Mexico Democratic caucus proceeded slowly Tuesday night with no winner declared.
The Albuquerque Journal said only 1 percent of the votes had been counted, and Hillary Clinton held a modest lead over Barack Obama.
New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson remained on the ballot despite shelving his presidential bid. He did not appear to be playing a spoiler role Tuesday with only about 2 percent of the vote.
There were 38 delegates up for grabs Tuesday. The Republicans did not hold a caucus Tuesday.
