HAMILTON, Ohio - A man ranked among Ohio's worst drunken drivers has been banished from the roadways by a judge who permanently pulled his license.
Butler County Judge Noah Powers also sentenced Stephen W. Wolf, 51, to eight years in prison for a hit-and-run accident in Fairfield Township last summer.
"When I look at everything you've done in the past, your record doesn't warrant any further consideration," the judge said at Tuesday's sentencing hearing.
The Cincinnati Enquirer said Wolf was apologetic in court. However, it noted that Wolf had been driving under the influence since the 1970s and was currently facing his 19th conviction.
The newspaper said Wolf's record placed him in the rogue's gallery of Ohio's six worst drunken drivers.
