Nancy Reagan allowed to return home
by UPI

LOS ANGELES - Former first lady Nancy Reagan is back in her California home after spending two days in the hospital following a fall.

A family spokeswoman says the 86-year-old Mrs. Reagan underwent extensive tests at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica before being allowed to return to her Bel-Air home, The Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.

While the cause of her fall hasn't been determined yet, spokeswoman Joanne Drake says Mrs. Reagan did not suffer any broken bones.

She last appeared in public at a speaking event Feb. 8 at the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.

Drake says some 5,000 people who visited the library on Monday sent Mrs. Reagan cards and messages.

"She's just thrilled to be home," says Drake and is "just taking a lot of phone calls from friends."
