CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- A Coral Springs, Fla., woman hosted a "rally of hope" for her husband, who disappeared more than a year ago during a business trip in Iran, a report said.
Christine Levinson staged the hope rally a day before her husband Bob's 60th birthday in an effort to raise awareness about his March 8, 2007, disappearance, CNN reported.
"The rally of hope is to let everyone know that we have not forgotten Bob, that we will continue to search for him and that we hope that anyone that might have information about him will get in touch with us ... and help us bring him home," Levinson said of Sunday's event.
Supporters wore yellow ribbons, sang "Happy Birthday" and signed a petition to Iran's Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei asking his help.
Bob Levinson spent 30 years with the FBI and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and was working as a private investigator when he disappeared.
Christine Levinson reportedly thinks her husband may have been investigating a cigarette smuggling case during his trip to Iran.
